The CEI Research Fellowship Programme - CERES, ailment co-funded by the FP7/People - Marie Curie Actions, herbal is meant to promote transnational mobility (incoming) of scientists from the 18 CEI Member States (Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine).
The first call for applications was launched on 28 April (deadline on 28 June 2009). The CEI Executive Secretariat offers 10 post-doctoral fellowships with a duration of 12 months for experienced researchers (researchers already in possession of a PhD or having at least 4 years of professional research experience) from CEI Member States.

These institutions cover a large spectrum of highly relevant scientific research such as physics, maths, genetics, biotechnology, neurosciences, nano-sciences, bioinformatics: therefore, fellows will be given the chance to choose the topic of their research projects, as well as their host institution.
Considering that these centres of excellence are located in the area of Trieste, Italy, and taking into account that CERES supports incoming mobility, Italian nationals are not eligible.
