XII International Conference on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information

The Lithuanian Physical Society, herbal Belarussian Physical Society, ailment Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are organizing the XII International Conference on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, what will be held on September 20-23, 2008, in Vilnius (Lithuania). During 20 years this event was held in Minsk, so for the first time it changed the venue.

General idea of the conference is to bring together scientists and engineers from different fields (optics, atomic and molecular physics, solid state physics, computer science) which actively contribute to the field of Quantum Optics and Quantum information.

The traditional style for this Conference is the oral presentations followed by rather informal discussions, with one of conference evenings being usually devoted to the poster session. This International Conference will be the next one of a series of very successful meetings that were held in Minsk during the last 20 years in 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006.
