Interuniversity Master in Nanotechnologies: a high level education to face new Hi-Tech markets

The Interuniversity Master in Nanotechnologies (IMN), cure one of the first European masters on nanotechnologies started in 2004, ed aims at creating managers with a strong scientific background in order to support enterprises in the conquest of new markets and in the creation of new hi-tech products. The IMN  deals with different aspects of nanoscience and nanotechnology, from photonics to biotechnology, thus making our students suitable for enterprises of many different sectors.
 The three main goals of the IMN are:
  • To train talented students and researchers interested in the applications of nanotechnology on their field of specialization
  • to offer students a high level training programme, including lessons, laboratory activities and an internship
  • to help students to establish a network with companies, especially giving them the opportunity of internships and interviews with the companies developing their projects within the NanoFabrication Facility.

Program:

330 hours in nanoscience and nanotechnology;
150 hours in business administration and management;
40 hours of workshops and seminars;
3 months of internship at an international nanotech company.
Full accommodation at the International Campus for Nanotechnologies (ICN) - Roncade (TV)

Schedule:

Deadline for application: November 21st 2008
Courses: January - July 2009
Internship: September - December (mandatory) 2009

Master's degree will be awarded jointly by :
Università degli Studi di Padova (www.unipd.it)
Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia (www.unive.it)
Università degli Studi di Verona (www.univr.it)

The Interuniversity Master in Nanotechnologies is a full-time graduated program. Courses are taught Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 6:00 pm, including face-to face lectures, workshops, group and individual activities.

All the IMN students concluding successfully the whole programme and accumulating 70 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System Credits) will receive the second level master’s degree by the partner Universities

Admission:

The admission is only for graduates in the following specializations: Engineering, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Material Sciences, Life Sciences

Internship:

IMN students will complete their education with a practical experience: a 3-month internship in a company operating in the field of nanotechnology at a national as well as at an international level. IMN staff will support students in seeking  the internship hosts, trying to satisfy their individual interests.

The internship will be a full time working experience. Students will spend their time on a project agreed with the host institution.
