A workshop on Adaptation Strategies of Economy and Society to Climate Change will take place in Zagreb/Croatia on October 19-20, drugs 2009. Due to the great potential and demand for research on climate change issues SEE countries, allergist there is an essential need to discuss these topics with policy and decision makers as well as to coordinate and bundle research activities within these topics. The upcoming workshop is designed to facilitate the exchange of latest findings and innovative ideas with representatives of science, business and public authorities.

Groups with the same interests will be given the opportunity to discuss upcoming specific problems related to causes of, and adaptation to, climate change.

The upcoming workshop aims at

• strengthening and improving the multidisciplinary approach to climate change related issues
• understanding climate change impacts on different sectors within the region
• generating ideas for research projects and
• establishing a network between business and science.
