Wschodnia Szkoła Letnia/ East European Summer School

The East European Summer School has been organized by the Centre for East European Studies, viagra discount Warsaw University, ambulance Poland since 1992.
 
The school assembles annually 30 students, doctor who undertake research into the history and contemporary affairs of the region in a variety of humanistic disciplines. School's participants cannot be Polish. Lectures are given each year by a different group of experts, coming mainly from Poland, Western Europe and North America.
 

1997, Vilnius-Toruñ in 1998, and since 1999 in Wroclaw), seminars (a few to choose), academic tours, visits to institutes,The Summer School's program consists of a series of lectures together with specialized sessions (Vilnius-Minsk-Lviv) in libraries and archives.

The languages of instruction of the East European Summer School, required from students, are both Polish and English. Fifteen School's sessions have been held so far since 1992 till 2005. Lectures have been given by over 80 professors. 372 participants from 15 countries of East Central Europe, 3 from Central Asia and Caucasus and 5 from Western countries received East European Summer School diplomas.

Graduates have gone on to careers in their countries, holding posts in science (Lithuania, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Sweden), in archival administration and museums (Lithuania, Ukraine), but also in non-governmental organizations (especially in Byelorussia), in public service and politics (Ukraine and Lithuania), in diplomacy (Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary) and in media (Ukraine, Byelorussia, Bulgaria).

Graduates and lecturers are assembled in International East European Summer School Union, appointed in 2000 during First Reunion of Graduates. The Second Graduates' and Lectures’ Reunion, organized by the Czech graduates, book place in Brno in 2002. The third one took place inWarsaw in July 2004 and the fourth was organized in Kaunas in 2005.
